In 1975, African Lion Safari was a founding member of the Canadian Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums, now known as Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA). CAZA is a private charitable organization representing the country’s leading zoological parks and aquariums and is committed to the advancement of accredited zoos and aquariums as humane agencies of animal welfare, conservation, science and education.

The Asian Elephant Specialist Group (AsESG) is a global network of specialists concerned with the study, monitoring, management, and conservation of Asian elephants (Elephas maximus). The overall aim of the AsESG is to promote the long-term conservation of Asia’s elephants and, where possible, the recovery of their populations to viable levels.

Wildlife Preservation Canada exists to save animal species at risk from extinction in Canada by performing hands-on work with species requiring direct intervention to recover. As well as providing opportunities, both within Canada and abroad, for Canadian conservation scientists to grow their expertise in working with animal species-at-risk and add to the overall body of knowledge on the subject.

The World Parrot Trust (WPT) is a leading, science-based, results-oriented parrot conservation and welfare organization. The WPT was founded in 1989 with an ambitious vision: To help save wild parrots from extinction and to ensure that companion parrots live long, healthy and happy lives. 

In addition to being a Full Member of the Conservation Centers for Species Survival, African Lion Safari is a member of their Source Population Alliance (SPA) program. A source population is a sustainable population of wildlife that serves as a dependable reservoir for ex situ (captive) and in situ (wild) conservation.

The goal of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums is to guide, encourage and support the zoos, aquariums and like-minded organizations of the world in animal care and welfare, environmental education and global conservation.

The International Elephant Foundation (IEF) is a non-profit corporation of individuals and institutions dedicated to the conservation of African and Asian Elephants worldwide. The mission of the IEF is to support and operate elephant conservation and education programs in managed facilities and in the wild, with an emphasis on management, protection and scientific research.

The International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators (IAATE) was founded to foster communication, professionalism, and cooperation among those individuals who serve Avian Science through training, public display, research, husbandry, conservation, and education. The mission of IAATE is to promote best practices in the field of avian care, training, and educational programming, and to inspire conservation of avian species and natural world.

African Lion Safari proudly became a member of Conservation Centers for Species Survival (C2S2) in 2017. C2S2 brings together the collective expertise of large-sized institutions committed to endangered species study, management, and recovery.

Asian Elephant Support (AES) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to the care and conservation of Asian elephants in their range countries, and to the people whose lives are intertwined with this magnificent and endangered species.
