Can I visit African Lion Safari?

Yes! African Lion Safari has re-opened with a modified experience.  Our drive through Game Reserves and walking area is open to visitors.  Please be advised that Misumu Bay Wetplay, playgrounds, tours and presentations still remain closed to the public.  African Lion Safari is open daily until October 12th, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 some animals, like our troop of baboons, will not be on display in the Game Reserves.  African Lion Safari reserves the right to change animal displays without notice.

Can I feed the animals?

Will you have washrooms available?

Can I bring my pet/Service Animal to African Lion Safari?

For the safety of our birds and animals, staff and other guests, pets are not permitted in our drive through Game Reserves or on African Lion Safari property.  Please leave all pets at home.  Kennels are not available at this time.

Is the Safari Tour Bus available?

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, our Safari Tour Bus is not available to the public.  All visitors must drive through and remain in their own vehicle.

Are visitors able to get out of their vehicle and walk around?

Yes!  Our walking area, down Tusker Trail, is now open to visitors!  Visit our Pets’ Corner area, our Flamingos, our Birds of Prey Conservation Area and some of our Asian Elephants.  All tours, presentation areas, splash pad and playgrounds are closed to the public.

How many times can I drive through the Game Reserves?

Due to COVID-19 and capacity restrictions, visitors may drive through the Game Reserves once only.

What methods of payment does the park accept at retail and food service locations?

Are food and beverage available?

Yes!  Select food locations are now open throughout the park for take away items such as pizza, burgers, fries, ice cream and of course, funnel cake!

I bought tickets for a certain date and now I am unable to attend. Can I change the date of my ticket?

Visitors are asked to e-mail admin@lionsafari.com for assistance.

When will the splash pad be opening?

At this time, it is uncertain whether our Misumu Bay Wetplay will be opening for the season.

Do I have to print my tickets?

Once you receive your Print At Home tickets e-mail, you can show it directly on your mobile device, with barcodes visible, or print it out and have it ready for us!

What is your refund policy?

African Lion Safari has a no refund policy.

Do you offer rain passes?

No, we do not offer rain passes or rain checks due to inclement weather.  African Lion Safari’s drive through Game Reserves operate rain or shine.

Can I upgrade my admission ticket to a Season Passport?

I'm a Season Passport holder - how do I get my Season Passport card?

Should you have pre-purchased Season Passports, please have your Order # ready upon arrival at Ticket Booth.  If we had photos on file from a previous year, we will have your cards printed and ready for you.  Otherwise, you should have received an e-mail from our staff requesting photos to be sent in.

I'm a Season Passport holder - do I need to secure a time slot?

No – you are welcome to come any time between 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM sharp.

Do you have wheelchairs available for rent?

Yes, we have wheelchairs available to rent for $5.00 at our Safari Outfitters Gift Shop, located underneath Kenya Gate!  With each rental, a security deposit is applied, and refunded when the rental is returned.  All wheelchairs will be cleaned and sanitized before each use.
