Bison
overview
Bison are powerful mammals found in North America and Europe, known for their massive builds, shaggy coats, and humped shoulders. The head and front parts of the body have a thick coat of long dark hair and the rear is covered with much shorter hair. As keystone species, they play a crucial role in their ecosystems by grazing, which helps maintain healthy grasslands and supports biodiversity. They are usually found in groups except for older solitary bulls.
